Only 8 days to go.

Getting sleep seems to be impossible these past couple nights. I'm up all night into the early morning. I feel asleep around 6ish this morning and was awake by nine. I layed in bed for awhile with my cat before my mom knocked and asked why I wasn't up yet. After a few minutes she started freaking out about why I hadn't packed for Florida yet. What was I thinking, how old am I, do I have to be babied... all that mom stuff. I let her go until right before she went to the garage to pull out suitcases. It was at that point I felt like it was okay to remind her I wouldn't be leaving for another week.

After we got done laughing, she offered to go shopping with me. I need a comfy button up sweater to wear on the plane, a purse big enough to hold my regular purse things and some carry on items, some new tanks and another pair of jeans. My goal this trip is to make a good first impression on his Mom & family.

I also found out yesterday that my aunt has a brain tumor. It's not malignant, thank goodness, but it's been impairing her eyesight and motor skills. So they've decided to remove it and her surgery is the day I get back from Florida. My mom said as bad as the situation sounds, she didn't want me and Zach to cancel our trip or make any changes. Life happens I guess. What can you do?

Well, I guess today I'm going to head into San Francisco with my boyfriend. He said he wanted to spend a day together and wanted to go somewhere we havn't been in awhile. Should be fun =]

Wiiide awake.

I am tired.

It's close to 6am, and I didn't sleep at all. I wasn't even close to being tired for awhile, and as time wore on I felt a little worn out. But honestly, there is no way I am going to fall asleep at 6am. What a waste of a day.

It's been raining pretty much non-stop the past couple days. I am close to getting sick of it. I'm glad were getting it because it seems my state is always in a drought. There are already water restrictions in part of the Bay Area, and sooner or later it'll reach my town. It's just a matter of time, guaranteed. What really ticks me off is the weather people on the news. Good lord.

First all you here is this: "Around this time of year we see an annual rainfall of 5 inches, Karen. But as of right now we've gotten approximately .07, and the next two weeks will be sunshine and warm weather. It's unfortunate. There is not nearly enough snow pack to last us until next winter and the dry conditions starting in May could really be disastrous. Back to you."

Then, as if on point, it starts to rain. A nice steady rain. No joke, 3 days into this steady rain, the weather people are freaking out.

"On the Bay Bridge we have Tom Herbert reporting on all this incredible rain we've been having! Tom?" *insert camera shift*
"Thanks Karen! As you can see behind me, the roads are slick, the wind has picked up and traffic is as backed up as it can get. There have been reports of literally dozens of accidents, left and right, people are just sliding all over the place Karen! It's a real mess. My advice, stay off the roads if possible. This system has no intentions whatsoever on letting up. Back to you." *insert another camera change*
"Thanks Tom. Stay dry! It's 5:53 am and Channel 7 is just getting reports of flooding all over the bay area. Due to the constant rain there are fallen tree's in the Santa Cruz area giving drivers a hard time this morning and leaving thousands in the dark. Goodness I hope this rain lets up! We could all use a break from it! We'll keep you updated."

I used actual dialog from ABC 7 that I watched while writing this. They drive me nuts. There is always something to complain about and nothing ever makes anyone happy. Theres not enough rain, now there is too much... As long as I'm not getting charged ridiculously this summer for water, I could care less.

Bring on the rain.

It's official.

We will be Florida bound on the 27th of February at 8am. =]

I got online as soon as Zach told me his mom has transferred the money and found two round trip tickets for under $500.00. I'm a little weary about being at the airport by 6:30am because it's an hour away from my house, plus Bay Area traffic.. it makes me want to cringe.

Zach and I also talked about it last night, and he wanted to stay out there longer than 5 days. He hasn't seen his mom in 3 years, so we'll be with her almost two weeks. We also had to change the dates so I would miss only one official day of work. I work every Thursday for the same lady, and pretty much the other days I work I just go when they call me. So We'll leave on Friday the 27th and be back by March 11. In that period, I'll only be missing one day. So it all works out.

Have I mentioned how excited I am? =D

Exciting things today!

A few exciting things happened today!

1.) My oh so lovely boyfriend brought home a pretty little blue and white bag with the word 'Swarovski' written on it. I got a huge smile because I knew that's where the ring I wanted is from. He smiled, waved it in my face and said "Too bad you have to wait until Saturday to open it." He's such a turd =]

2.) Zach's mom sent us an invitation to his grandfather's 80th birthday. Since we are strapped for cash said she'd pay for his ticket and part of mine. We talked about it and asked my mom for some advice. We looked up flights and ticket prices before deciding today that we'd go. The cheapest fair we found was through United Airlines for $253.00 a person. We called her today and told her, and she's ecstatic! We are too. This will be my first time meeting his mom face to face. We've talked on the phone, on the computer and have seen each other through web cam, but have never met. We are leaving February 26 and coming back March 4. Sometime tomorrow she is going to transfer money into Zach's bank account to pay for the tickets and we'll be all set to go. =]

3.) I bought a new cell phone off Ebay today! It's a Motorola Razr that's pink with a cherry blossom design on it. It was about $85.00. Not too bad for a new phone. After the tragic loss of my Blackjack II, I just used my old Razr. Sadly, it's encountered battery life problems and needs to be recharged way too often. It also freezes on me all the time. Annoying! I figured since I'd be across the country at the end of this month, I'd need one that is reliable. I just need it to get through the rest of my AT&T contract that ends in December before I either switch providers or sign a new contract.

I'm looking forward to the next few weeks. It's looking pretty good from here =]

Ugh.

This morning I had a bad seizure. I spent twenty minutes crying before I was able to calm down and relax. I was able to fall asleep, and I slept in until noon. I still feel tired, unbalanced and my legs are aching. That's all normal for me the whole day. What's bothering me is a new symptom. I'm feeling really light headed and I'm having a problem focusing in on things. It's really strange and unnerving.

I should call my doctor, or maybe even the nurse help line thing. But every time I've done it before, they can't understand what my problem is and in the end I get nowhere.

I'm seriously starting to think I have a tumor someplace in my body. My brain? My spinal cord?
I don't know. If I could only find a dang doctor to listen to me and really want to help me feel better.

Does aspirin or anything help dizziness/light headed-ness?

I hope so. I'm home by myself right now too. I hope a nap helps. Ugh.

Allll about Valentines.

Today I decided to venture out and get Zach's Valentines gift. I ended up finding him the Family Guy movie thing he wanted and some other little things at Target. Nothing too expencive, as always. Plus, I love Target. I spent an hour and a half in there today. I always get him some red roses, card and some form of candy he likes too, but I don't have to worry about that until Saturday.

I'm actually really excited about Valentines this year. I've been dropping hints about this ring I looove. I've been mentioning it since before Thanksgiving, when I first saw it. The other day he mentioned "Oh, isn't Valentines Day coming up or something?" I answered yes, and left it alone.
The next day I said "Valentines Day is this up coming Saturday" and got a shrug with no verbal responce. It gave me a weird feeling he was up to something. I really think he's either gotten me the ring or something like it. The past two years, he's never said anything about Valentines Day until the day of. He's always gotten me something I love. I also want to make sure everyone knows if I do end up getting this ring (and I hope I do.. eeek!), its not a promise ring or an engagment ring or anything like that. It's pretty much just an I love you ring. After two years and three months, I think I kind of deserve it!

Lately, Zach has been a bit more selfless than he used to be and I can't even tell you how great it is! The other day he called me while I was at work and told me that he was on his way to Lowes to find the part to fix our closet door. He told me he had been on the phone all morning to his phone company trying to get a new phone, but decided against it because the cost was too high. He had the money, but didn't end up doing it. He told me he needed to focus more on other things and put his money to better use, like fixing the closet. I was floored! The Zach I knew would have bought the phone, and he didn't.

It just makes me so happy. I know he's been reluctant to grow up and get his you-know-what together, but I think he's getting the hang of it. BTW, he did get a new phone for himself like a day later (=]) but he chose a less expencive one at a very fair price. So, you may not be able to break bad habits completley, but at least it's been dented right?
=D

A random entry..

I have the urge to go fishing. Like really bad. And I don't even like fish.

I also really want to go camping and go to the beach and do other out side things.

Today has been a day full of Wii, conversation and relaxing. I'm at my friend Jeni's house right now blogging my heart out while she and Zach battle it out on Wii Sports. Not much else has really gone on today.

I'm kind of tired and really feel like sleeping, but it's only 6:30pm.

I also really feel like playing Rummy, but nobody wants to play with me. I'm actually really good and I hardly lose, so that may be a factor in why nobody wants to play. Who knows.

Tomorrow I'm planning on taking a bunch of my unused clothes to the good will. I found plenty to get rid of. I also found a bunch of shirts I'm going to cut up and make a blanket with. They all have designs and stuff on them so it should turn out pretty cool. I hope to have it done by the end of this month. That should take up some of my very obvious free time.

Well, I'm off. I'm being summoned for Wii bowling! Heck of fun =)

It's month two.

So February.

Valentines Day, President's Day...

That's all I got.

I work every Thursday, and pretty much am on call otherwise. I don't mind. Other than that, this month is seriously empty. I need to make some plans.

In other news, my friend Jeni is out of the hospital and back home. She seemed normal and was herself, so I'm glad she's okay. Zach and I went over to her house yesterday and did the Superbowl thing with Jeni and her husband. It was fun. She cooked and we vegged out all day.
After the Superbowl, we watched Saw V. It wasn't as gross or as long as the other four, and despite it being gory and such, I liked it.

Well, it's another Monday. Laundry day, and I have plenty of it to do.
