I've been M.I.A.

Sorry to all you faithful readers! (insert cricket chirp here.. hah)

I've been busy these past couple days. Working, busy around the house, and worrying my little blond head off.

I was at work on Thursday and right as my boss got home, I got a text message. It was from my friend Jeni so I checked it. Here's what it said:

"Just wanted to let you know Jeni is in the hospital. She collapsed in Castro Valley. They think it's her heart. I just got here. Just wanted to let everyone she talks to know."

Not exactly the thing you want to here via text message. I was confused and showed my boss and she asked me if it was a joke. I had no idea. She pretty much shoved me out the door telling me to call Zach and make sure this was serious.

I called Zach with no answer. I got home and called again. He answered and I told him about the text and he was just as shocked as I was. He got off the phone with me to call Jeni's husband Clay to see what was going on. Clay told Zach that they were in Castro Valley visiting his mom and they were at Starbucks when she just collapsed. He called 911 and she was rushed to a near by hospital. So far all I know is that her heart was inflamed and its not pumping her blood correctly. I have no idea about the severity of her problem or anything. I called her phone but it was off.

Last we heard, she was maybe going to be moved to Stanford Hospital because they have an amazing cardiac unit. Until we can get a hold of Clay again, we won't be able to visit her or help Clay out with their daughter or food or anything. We've done what we can do for right now.

It makes me sad though. It doesn't feel like I've done enough. I really value their friendship and they have been nothing but good to Zach and I. I feel like now is the best time to return the favor. It's frustrating.

Well... I have work again tonight at 6. After that I'm supposed to be hanging out with some friends, but we'll see how that turns out. I'm not really feeling up to it. Hope you all have a good weekend =]
